Note[edit]

Note about bounties carrying over confirmed by my own actions on 04/13/2016. CyberDiva (talk)

I've removed this note, since it already says at the top of the page that "the Justice System is present in every zone except Cyrodiil and Coldharbour". I don't see any reason a reader would assume that the bounty doesn't carry over. —Legoless (talk) 00:40, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

Removal of pickpocket difficulty[edit]

As of the DB patch, the NPC pickpocket difficulty indicator has been removed. When crouched behind the target, instead a "profession" for the NPC will be displayed. The pickpocket chance has not changed, but perhaps we should rename the pickpocket difficulty parameter to something different because of this. Any thoughts? Contraptions (talk) 17:33, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

If the percentage hasn't changed, I would say keep the difficulty, as I believe the base percentage chance is directly affected by that factor, whether it's visible or not; the difficulty then gives a general indication of the pickpocket chance of that NPC, which we would explain at Pickpocketing if such a page existed. We will need to add a new parameter for profession, though. --Enodoc (talk) 17:58, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

Breaking and entering vs Trespassing[edit]

Following a recent undo/rephrasing about trespassing in normal buildings, I want to clarify the difference between these two. You never receive a bounty for pressing "trespass" button. You do receive a trespassing bounty when witnessed inside a restricted area. You also receive a bounty if witnessed picking a locked door.

However, I actually do not know if it is worth recording this on individual house pages. I would be fine not writing anything there, but if something then perhaps "breaking in counts as a crime." I previously copied the sentence "bla bla, trespassing does not count as a crime", which I found on some older page. While it is true, maybe it isn't exactly significant :/ Tib (talk) 11:21, 18 September 2016 (UTC)

Agreed, the difference needs to be noted in this page since "Trespassing" is internally inconsistent. None of it needs to be noted directly on individual pages though, as it is all covered by the infobox. Whether something grants a bounty for picking the lock on the door is covered by the owned/owner parameter, while a Restricted Area trespass is covered by the restricted parameter. --Enodoc (talk) 14:27, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
