Skyrim:Elder
The UESPWiki – Your source for The Elder Scrolls since 1995
Elders (known as Old People Race in the game data) is the race that is used for elderly humans in the game. Since Skyrim does not use an "age slider" during the character generation, the elderly are implemented as their own race, but are still treated as other races in-game. Elders gain no skill bonuses for their race, and have no "racial powers", like the Frost Resistance or Battle Cry abilities Nords possess.
Elders[edit]
There are a total of fifty-three elders; forty-six are in the original game. The Dawnguard add-on added two more elders, while the Dragonborn expansion added four. The Alternative Armors - Ebony Plate and Fishing Creations both add one elder.
Notes[edit]
- It is likely that the majority of them are intended to be Nords (based on names, family relations, and the general dominance of Nords in Skyrim), but this is speculative and cannot be confirmed in many cases. At least a few of them are known to be Imperial or Breton. No other races are represented in the elder race.
- There is an additional elder named Sulvar the Steady that only appears in the game data. He was related to Windhelm's Wheelhouse, which was removed from the final game.
