Skyrim talk:Pumpkin
Fallout 3 Reference[edit]
I believe this fox's name might be a reference to a friendly caged molerat of the same name from Fallout 3. -69.215.15.25 03:09, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
- Ask on the Easter Eggs page. You may need more specific details for it to be accepted, but possibly not, as they are both Bethesda. The Silencer has spokenTalk 03:22, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
- Furthermore, there is also a dog in Oblivion with the name Pumpkin, which predates Fallout. Wolok gro-Barok 15:12, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
Necromancy Faction[edit]
By the time I found Pumpkin, he was dead next to his cage with my follower's arrow in him. In the cage was an ash pile that could be searched for a chicken breast. Someone reanimated the chicken.... Lottery Discountz 00:40, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
- Update after multiple playthroughs of the scene to go birdwatching: It was always Spellsword's Chicken, never Pumpkin's Chicken. Lottery Discountz 12:00, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
Non-aggressive Pumpkin[edit]
During my last playthrough of Skyrim I found Pumpkin outside his cage, just standing there non-aggressive. I had killed the two nearby spellswords with archery from afar. I regret I just killed Pumpkin anyway, as it would have been interesting to see if he had followed peacefully, if he would have turned aggressive later and why. —MortenOSlash (talk) 17:05, 14 November 2012 (GMT)
- He is actually flagged as unaggressive in the game data, but as helping allies. So i guess, it is the spellswords attacking that may turn him aggressive. --Alfwyn (talk) 17:44, 14 November 2012 (GMT)
- So as long as he does not see the player attacking his allies, he will remain non-aggressive? —MortenOSlash (talk) 17:47, 14 November 2012 (GMT)
- I'd guess it would be as long as his allies don't attack the player, but exactly how the assistance value works isn't documented yet, I think. --Alfwyn (talk) 18:02, 14 November 2012 (GMT)
- Then I conclude the current text on Pumpkin was not correct, so I ventured to adjust it a bit. —MortenOSlash (talk) 18:40, 14 November 2012 (GMT)

very odd indeed[edit]
Pumpkin spawned outside the cage, then when I snuck up using very powerful sneak boots (enemies almost never find me with these unless I walk into them) and unlocked it anyways he/she started following me. Then he/she fled when I stood up to mine the nearby iron ore vein, and is now running around like a normal fox in the cave.--Playerseekingbugs (talk) 22:17, 9 February 2013 (GMT)
- It appears the bandits killed him/her like he/she was just a regular fox invading their territory.--Playerseekingbugs (talk) 22:35, 9 February 2013 (GMT)
