Oblivion:Orc
—Race menu description

Orcs, also called Orsimer or "Pariah Folk" in ancient times, are sophisticated, brutish elves of Orsinium (literally translated as "Orc-Town").
Orcs make excellent warriors who excel in combat with Blunt weapons and Heavy Armor, especially when combined with the Warrior birthsign. They are prized for their craftsmanship and armorer skill. Their daily power, Berserk, can be useful in tight situations against difficult enemies, but should be used with care. The reduced agility makes it easy for enemies to stagger you. Orcs also make excellent Spellswords due to their amount of Endurance and Willpower. This combined with The Lady birthsign add up to very powerful Endurance and Willpower. However, their lack of Magicka is a large disadvantage.
Orc names always follow a strict format, being that they have a main name, and a gender prefix preceding a last name. For example, Burz gro-Khash, or Snak gra-Bura. (gro = male, gra = female)
Despite there being Orcish armor, there isn't any Orcish weaponry.
Enemy Orcs are primarily encountered as Marauders (including Marauder Warlords), clad in heavy armor and wielding long blades. Among the vampires, the Crusader and Warriors are Orcs, including Crusader Vampire Matriarchs and Patriarchs.
A list of all the named Orcs in Cyrodiil can be found here.

Origins[edit]
In Oblivion Remastered, the stats that were assigned by the player character's gender in the original game can now be freely chosen by selecting an Origin for a character, which is presented as the location from within their race's province that they hail from.
- Stronghold - Your fate was decided when you were born. As a member of a Stronghold, you would serve your chieftain with honor and would make the orcs proud. Your Charisma and resilience were honed for when you'd serve.
- Orsinium - You are proud to have been raised in Orsinium where you trained to be as versatile a warrior as possible. As such, you are better with magic than most other Orcs.
