- Flurry: Flood an enemy with steel, battering them with four consecutive attacks that each deal [1767 / 1786 / 1804 / 1826] Physical Damage.
- Rapid Strikes: Cost: 2430 Stamina.
Flood an enemy with steel, battering them with four consecutive attacks that each deal [1825 / 1844 / 1865 / 1884] Physical Damage. Each hit increases the damage of the subsequent hit by 5%. - Bloodthirst: Flood an enemy with steel, battering them with four consecutive attacks that each deal [1825 / 1844 / 1865 / 1884] Bleed Damage and heal you for 33% of the damage caused.
Flurry batters an enemy with a series of four attacks, each dealing physical damage. Because this counts as four separate attacks, each has a chance of causing a Critical attack, so combining this with Spell or Weapon Critical makes it much more effective. The Rapid Strikes morph increases the damage for each hit, while the Bloodthirst morph restores your Health based on damage done.
Notes[edit]
- Bloodthirst was added in Update 10, replacing Blinding Flurry, which had a 7% chance with each hit to set the target off balance.
- Prior to Update 35 Flurry hit the target five times per cast and had a different animation.
- Bloodthirst is a recommended morph for the Venomous Dragon build, while Rapid Strikes is recommended for Arcane Warrior.
- The Cruel Flurry set from Maelstrom Arena will cause your next single-target damage over time ability to have increased Spell and Weapon Damage after using this ability.
Patch Notes[edit]
- This ability now properly animates even if the first tick is dodged.
- Increased the damage executed by the last hit by 10%.
- Blinding Flurry: This ability now gives a 7% off balance chance per hit and increases in damage at all ranks instead of increasing this value on rank up.
- Rapid Strikes: This ability now deals 2% increased damage per hit instead of increasing your attack speed.
- Fixed an issue with the impact sounds on the abilities Flurry and Veiled Strike.
- Uppercut and Flurry can no longer be interrupted.
- Reduced the damage of this ability by 8%.
- Reduced the channel durations for this ability and its morphs to 0.6 seconds from 1.3 seconds, and also now hit 5 times instead of 6.
- Reduced the overall damage and costs to compensate the above changes.
- Note: The total DPS when using these abilities should remain unchanged.
- Blinding Flurry:
- Renamed this morph to Bloodthirst.
- In addition to the changes made to the base ability, this morph has been redesigned so it now heals you for 60% of the damage done with the final hit.
- Rapid Strikes: In addition to the changes made to the base ability, the increase in damage for each subsequent hit has been increased to 3% more damage, up from 2% more damage, to account for the decrease in total hits.
- Note: This morph continues to increase the damage of subsequent hits as a morph effect.
- Adjusted the order of the Active Abilities in this skill line. They now unlock in the following order:
- You'll now hear an audio effect when Flurry and Slash strike their targets.
- Increased damage dealt from this ability and its morphs by approximately 21% to ensure it is in line with other single target "spammable" abilities.
- Reduced the damage dealt by this ability and its morphs by approximately 8% to ensure it does not eclipse other damage abilities, such as DoTs.
- Bloodthirst (morph):
- Fixed an issue where the heal from this ability was not properly increasing by 1% of the damage dealt per rank.
- The following abilities will now deal purely Bleed Damage rather than Physical Damage or a mix of Physical and Bleed Damage.
- Bloodthirst (morph of Flurry)
- Carve (morph of Cleave)
- Cutting Dive (morph of Dive)
- Pounce and morphs
- Trap Beast and morphs
- Twin Slashes and morphs
- Bloodthirst (morph): Fixed an issue where the heal from this morph was not considered a Dual Wield ability or a Weapon ability.
- Bloodthirst (morph): This morph now heals for up to 33% of the damage done per hit, rather than up to 63% of the final hit's damage done. This will result in slightly more healing effectiveness and more responsive healing as well.
- This ability and its morphs now hit 4 times over a channel time of 800ms, rather than 5 times over 600ms. Their total damage remains relatively the same over their channel time.
- These abilities now have completely new animations and visual effects to match their attack cadence.
- Rapid Strikes (morph):
- This morph now increases the damage done of the next hit by 5% per stack, up from 3%, resulting in approximately 2.5% more overall damage.
- Reduced the base cost to 2430, down from 2700.
- Bloodthirst (morph): Fixed an issue where the heal from this ability was considered Magicka rather than Stamina based.
- Rapid Strikes (morph):
- Fixed an issue with this ability and its morphs where the damage and audio impacts appeared delayed and out of sync with its animation.
- Fixed an issue with this ability and its morphs where they could sometimes, ever so incredibly rarely, only hit 3 times when weaving in extremely rapid succession (we're talking within a 1ms time span)..
