The burial vaults called the Forgotten Crypts were not so much forgotten as forsaken, given up after a rogue necromancer animated a score of hallowed dead within. Ordinators from Mournhold brought the necromancer to justice, but the stigma of undeath persisted.

The Forgotten Crypts are burial vaults in western Deshaan, just southeast of the village of Quarantine Serk. Refugees fleeing from the Llodos Plague came here and set up a fortified camp. The crypt is plagued by the undead. The crypt appears to belong to House Telvanni, as is evident by the banners featuring the Great House's crest hung upon the walls within and the presence of a Telvanni spirit.
Bosses have a chance to drop the Niss'wo Sacramental Wraps antiquity lead for the Gaze of Sithis.

Layout[edit]
You can find Fleshfly swarms hovering in various locations throughout the dungeon. Passive spiders scuttle across the stone floors of the crypt. There's a Refugee Camp just north of the first chamber, but access to the camp is blocked off by a barricade.
The hallway after the main chamber is a loop: you can go north or south. If you head south, you'll find the dungeon's group event; the northern path takes you further into the Forgotten Crypts. Whichever direction you pick, the eastern end of this loop opens up into a chamber where you'll find the Silent Colossus, one of the dungeon's Champions. A chest can spawn along the southern wall, on the east side of the pile of rubble near the southern stairwell.
Northeastern Halls[edit]
The Forgotten Sheriff's room is located beyond the loop's northern bend. The boss is located on the west side of the room, while a small contingent of skeletons resides along the eastern wall. A chest spawns in the northwest corner of the room. The hallway just north of here contains the dungeon's skyshard, which is surrounded by wraiths and ghosts. This hallway constitutes another loop: heading west brings you towards the refugee camp and a dead end in the northwestern corner of the dungeon, while heading east brings you to the dungeon's next boss, Fyrayn Telvanni.
Fyrayn Telvanni resides in a cozy chamber with an altar on the eastern end of the room. The Journal of Nicolas Douare sits upon the altar, which Fyrayn himself stands in front of. A chest can spawn on the southern end of Fyrayn's altar, beside a trunk. Six dusty bookshelves line the western wall. The corner in the hallway north of this room contains an altar with three Dwarven jugs on top of it. As with all Dwarven containers, these have a chance to drop pages from the Dwemer Style crafting motif. There's a fourth Dwarven jug in an alcove on the eastern wall. Timothe the Sharp, another boss, spawns in the large chamber west of the jug holding altar.
If you head west in the hallway south of Timothe's chamber, you'll find the entrance to the Refugee Camp and a hall full of Husks. If you continue west into the husk-filled hallway instead of entering the camp, you'll find an altar at a bend in the path with a copy of Redoran Cooking Secrets sitting atop it. A chest can spawn at the northern end of the altar. The door to Garil's Camp lies at the end of this hallway. A mushroom node spawns to the right of the door.
Garil's Camp[edit]
A large chamber where you'll find Garil during the dungeon's objective quest. Garil's Journal lies atop the altar on the northern end of the room. Two chests can spawn in this room, both along the western wall. One spawns in the northwest corner of the room, and the other spawns in the southwest corner of the room.
Refugee Camp[edit]
The Refugee Camp lies behind a door in a short offshoot hallway in the northwestern halls. A stack of books and a Smuggler's Note lie atop the altar on the east side of the hall leading up to the front entrance. The book stack acts like bookshelves you'd find out in the world.
Inside the camp, you'll find many Crypt Dwellers. There are relatively cozy accommodations for all the camp's residents, including furniture and tents. There's a cooking fire a short ways away from the front entrance. Another cooking fire lies on the south side of the camp, next to the barricade.
Group Event[edit]
There's a kwama nest in the dungeon's southernmost chamber. The dungeon's group boss, which consists of three kwama warriors, is located in this room. They will not appear until you first destroy the four nests of kwama on the eastern and western ends of the chamber. Passive scribs scuttle around this chamber. The group boss spawns in the space where sunlight filters down into the nest. A runestone node is also located in this spot. The chest containing the Ceremonial Cheese Knife is located west of the boss. There are three mushroom nodes, two water nodes, and three ore nodes in this chamber. A chest can spawn on the eastern end of the room, beside the web-covered wooden scaffolding. The group bosses have a chance to drop the lead for Nisswo Sacramental Wraps. Husks inhabit the hallway leading up to the nest.
